Indications/Uses
Steroid-responsive ocular inflammatory conditions of palpebral & bulbar conjunctiva, cornea & anterior segment of eye globe, & where bacterial infection or risk of bacterial ocular infection exists.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Eye drop Instill 1-2 drops to each affected eye 4-6 times daily or more frequently if required. Eye oint Apply small amounts into conjunctival sac 3-4 times daily.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Epithelial herpes simplex keratitis (dendritic keratitis), vaccinia, varicella & other viral diseases of cornea & conjunctiva. Fungal diseases of ocular structures.
Special Precautions
Prolonged use may result in superinfection or glaucoma. Monitor IOP regularly if used for >10 days. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Allergic sensitizations. Elevation of IOP, secondary infections.
S01CA01 - dexamethasone and antiinfectives ; Belongs to the class of corticosteroids in combination with antiinfectives. Used in the treatment of eye diseases.
